Mold becomes Toxic when Inside airborne levels are higher than outside levels.
Mold Status or Survey
Toxic mold testing is needed if you see discoloration or have an odor.
Starting by listening to your concerns, we proceed with a complete inspection. At the end of this inspection, we discuss with you the mold testing that we think will enable you to reach your project’s goals.
Testing is done, usually air testing. These samples are turned over to a licensed environmental lab for analysis. We have used this same lab for 20 years. Never once did we question the validity of their results. They are superstars in the lab world! We primarily use Environmental Microbiology in SSF if you’re interested.
When we have the lab results we review and discuss your project inhouse. Then, we call you to discuss how to reach your goals.
Then we write a complete report. From this report you can obtain three quotes from mold remediation contractors. We are always available to answer your questions.
Mold Peace of Mind
If your Allergist or Medical Team find you are allergic to specific animals, then it is worthwhile to test your home, office, or vehicle for the presence of animal allergens.
Many people are allergic to dust that usually contains molds, pollen, cockroach parts, and dust mites. This dust will be found in highest levels in carpeting and carpets as well as upholstered furniture.
Mold Validation (Clearance)
Clearance means the absence of the contaminant, in this case mold spores. Because mold spores are naturally in all our air, the term clearance isn’t the correct term.
The term validation is used to confirm inside levels of airborne mold spores are within an acceptable range when compared to the outside.
Reducing the inside levels to “acceptable” or “validated” is appropriate for most people. If you an immunocompromised or have other health issues, we use a higher standard for mold validation in your residences and offices.
