VOC Contractors

voc-contractors

This is a list of VOC contractors in the Bay Area that we have worked with successfully in the past

Always verify current licenses and insurance. Always get a written estimate/contract that shows a clear and complete Scope of Work (SOW) as this can help reduce expensive Change Orders.

It is faster and cheaper to clearly identify the extent of the problems with directions for removal necessary for clearance documents and safe reoccupancy. Our Status Report provides these details.

We have no financial ties with these companies.

We accept no payment or kickbacks for inclusion in this list – we know these companies and have seen their quality work.

This list of environmental contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area is for your convenience.

VOC Contractors requires special knowledge and equipment.

The method of fixing a VOC problem depends upon the chemical. Sometimes encapsulation is the best method. Other times, heating the building to speed up off-gassing will be recommended. Your report will make recommendations. The most important thing is to not make the areas worse by adding other chemicals. You need to see an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) before any chemicals are added anywhere. Unless you are a chemist don’t turn your project into a “science experiment”. That can become extremely expensive. Is you have questions or concerns, please give us a call.

Professional VOC Contractors are a vital part of restoring your environment - It's not a DIY project.

There are a limited number of things a homeowner or a handyman  can do: things like install weather stripping to isolate garage gasoline fumes from the interior living spaces, applying Safecoat Seal to new furniture that may contain Formaldehyde. This sealer is made to stop formaldehydes specifically.

We use heat to accelerate the off-gassing. When it comes to heating your project, it requires professional equipment, training and especially monitoring during the process. It’s not as simple as turning up the HVAC system or installing a lot of space heaters.
