We begin by listening to your concerns and a history of the water-related issues.
An onsite inspection with the right testing follows. After our lab returns the testing results, we call or email you a brief recap of our initial, draft evaluation of your site. When all your concerns are answered, we compile all this information into a complete report. This report is helpful for contractors, insurance issues, attornies and your physician if health is involved.
Toxic mold inspection is part of the answer; testing with a clear, complete written report is the rest.
The inspection and written report are a road map to successfully getting rid of your mold problems, so they don’t return.
During the inspection, the source or sources of water intrusion are identified and photographed. Moisture testing of the surrounding building materials is done using different types of moisture meters or infrared.
Your report includes our evaluation and recommendations, the mold testing lab results and numerous photos with descriptions. Infrared photos show exactly where the building materials are wet may also be included.
During the initial mold testing and inspection, we try to test only the very worst areas found. Mold testing can become expensive, and we are sensitive to your financial needs. We can’t rely on other consultant’s testing. Mold levels change on a minute to minute basis, so mold testing done six months ago makes a valid historical reference, but remediation instructions shouldn’t rely on old information. Consider that a minimal mold remediation will usually cost $2,500. Shouldn’t you spend several hundred dollars to be sure you have mold? Remediations companies have a financial interest to find environmental problems. Some of the companies out there operate this way; the majority do not.
