Mold Protocol

In complex projects or projects that involve other contaminantes including but not limited to chemicals, bacteria, lead or asbestos, the next step may be a Detailed Mold Protocol. A Detailed Mold Protocol is a set of specific instructions on removing all identified and, as discovered throughout the demolition process, all toxigenic molds, instructions for specific corrective action for all sources of water instructions and validation of those identified water intrusions.

This is a very detailed document that a professional remediator/abatement contractor uses to know exactly which part of the building and how much of the building materials need to be removed. It is not a document for a non-professional and cannot replace training. All remediation or abatement work should be performed by a qualified, certified professional following all local and national regulations. This sort of protocol may also be required by your insurance company. It may also include on-site visits by American Air Testing throughout the removal and cleanup processes.

This is a written blueprint that an independent remediation company uses as its basis for demolition , clean-up, and proper disposal. This Detailed Mold Protocol, used in conjunction with the Mold Status Report, explains the specific steps needed to return the building back to a normal and healthy environment.

We have no financial alliance with any remediation or construction companies, or any other people, company or firm listed on this website.
